To whom it may concern,
Alan Hallet ability to create bronzes has been of interest to my wife and I since we first discovered him during a trip to the midlands. I have been collecting pieces of his since 1995 starting with a life size leopard on a tree branch with her cubs climbing up, this started my interest in his unique ability to create life size and smaller pieces to exactly replicate the animal he is portraying. We have 17 of his pieces to date ranging from the leopard to a small eagle, buffalo, wild dogs (our particular favourite) birds including an amazing blue crane, warthogs, etc. We have also given Alan’s work to overseas directors who have retired from SA Eagle insurance where I was deputy managing director, feeling that it was a perfect gift of African art work, and we were proud to be able to give pieces by a renowned African Artist. Should anyone feel they wish to see his works in Johannesburg please feel free to contact Jenny Hallett for our details.

Dear Allen & Jenny,
Pumba was received and unpacked just yesterday. We are still trying to come to terms with owning such a magnificent work of art! He was in perfect condition and the whole house has been reassembled two or three times already to find the perfect home for him. Thank you so much, he is everything we hoped for and more. He also brings back memories of our first ever bush experience with you both. Never to be forgotten. Thanks a million.
To Whom It May Concern:
I have personally been involved with horses throughout my life and am presently manufacturing equestrian equipment, specializing in custom made bits for the horse fraternity throughout South Africa and internationally. I have known Allen Hallett for the past year and have been impressed by his knowledge of form and anatomy when it comes to large animals and the creation of realistic sculptures of the highest quality. If Allen were to be successful in being commissioned to do your Friesian sculptured, I have offered my assistance, albeit verbal, to ensure that the finished product is 100% up to scratch.
Good morning Allen,
I am well thank you.
I am delighted to have finally found a sculpture (Leopard’s Rock sculpture) that is both accurate and magnificent!
Take care, and again thanks, you are a master in your art form!
We have received our wonderful `rockfig’ Leopard. He has arrived safely and has been given `pride of place’ at Lynderswood. He is beautiful and each time we look at him (which is very frequently), our thoughts return to South Africa.
Allen, we are truly delighted. It is a magnificent bronze and we are proud to have him.
You are a very talented sculptor.
Once again, Allen, thank you so very much, we are very thrilled with him.
Our very best wishes
Dear Mr & Mrs Hallett,
He arrived a few hours ago, absolutely perfect in every way. Never have I received something so securely wrapped and crated. The piece, itself, is all that I could have hoped for, and more! Mr Hallett is truly an exceptional talent. I had hoped for such as this since childhood, and will derive much pleasure from it for the rest of my life. Thank you.

To Whom It May Concern,
It gives me great personal satisfaction to write a reference for Allen Hallett. Allen and his wife have been friends of my wife and myself for some sixteen years, during which time we have collected 22 limited edition wildlife sculptures which he has created. During some 20 years working in Southern Africa, and with the close affinity for South African wildlife, I can honestly say that I have never seen any work by other sculptors which so consistently capture the movement and nuances of wildlife with such realism and detail. Allen’s early career as a Game Ranger obviously provides him with a fantastic grounding when it comes to depicting African wildlife, but he also has the ability to capture and create similar realism detail and patina in other subjects. He has also undertaken corporate commissions for very large South African companies – some of which have been life size sculptures. In addition his bronzes have been included and sold in the Christies & David Shepard Wildlife Auctions in London. My wife and I are now retired and back in Australia and being surrounded by Allen’s work is a constant joy to us, an a reminder of our life in Africa. His bronzes are most admired by all our friends, some of whom have purchased limited editions and had them shipped to Australia.
Lorraine and I want to tell you how delighted we are with the result of the sculpture of the Cheetah, which we commissioned you to do, and which has just been completed. Your attention to detail is exceptional, and the finished product is one we are very proud to have in our home. It has been a pleasure dealing with you and Jenny, and you made a special effort to rush everything to fit in with our plans. Thank you again.
